Small Business owners need to market to their audience in a highly targeted and specialized way. When it comes to connecting with your prospects and customers, there’s no channel with a wider reach than email.

There are various email marketing platforms that can help organize and distribute your email marketing materials. Top recommendations for small businesses include Constant Contact, Mail-Chimp & Emma.

Email Marketing Strategy

  1. Define Your Email Marketing Goals.

  2. Identify Your Target Audience.

  3. Choose Your Email Marketing Tools.

  4. Develop Relevant Content for Each Target Market Segment.

  5. Create Email Distribution Schedule.

  6. Analyze Results & Amend Future Campaigns Accordingly

The time of day you send your emails can be just as influential on open rates as the day you send them. Therefore, plan your email distributions and schedule them to be sent at the optimal day and time.

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays tend to be the best days to send emails overall

  • Mondays and Wednesdays can be viable as well but are unlikely to get quite the same results as Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Somewhere around 10 and 11 am is the optimal time of day
