Event Recap: Small Business Website Workday with the NYPL & BPL

In the last week of January, the Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) hosted two "Website Workday" events for entrepreneurs and small business owners! Along with their partnership with the New York Public Library's Thomas Yoseloff Business Center, Pace SBDC brought their website workday class to Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Public Library's Business & Career Center. Through collaboration, business owners and Pace SBDC Business Advisors and Interns met and addressed each entrepreneur's individual website goals and challenges. The presentation concentrated on shifting business owner's mindsets to making their sites attract sales and not stress.

The beginning of "Website Workday" kicked off with a quick overview of what constitutes a good website, important considerations for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and some examples of successful small business websites. Then, each entrepreneur dove in and began by logging into their existing website or starting to create a new website. The Pace SBDC team floated from workstation to workstation, helping entrepreneurs when they needed it and offering suggestions to improve and refine each small business's website based on their individual goals and challenges. Each entrepreneur left the workshop having completed specific improvements to their website or launching a new online presence, and ready to continue editing and improving their website as their business grows.

Pace SBDC will be launching additional website workdays, in the Spring! Stay tuned for announcements regarding dates. For those interested in joining, please click the registration link here: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/ev/reg/qxu3jxq
