SBDC Day at New York’s Capitol

Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm recently joined senior staff from the NY Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network and colleagues who manage SBDCs at other NYS centers for SBDC Day at New York’s Capitol in Albany. At the event Andrew and NYSBDC colleagues spoke with NYS legislators and their staff to familiarize them with SBDC’s free one-to-one business advisory services and training programs. As part of the event Andrew was also able to meet legislators and staff from a number of districts in the Pace SBDC’s expanded Brooklyn service area, including Assembly Member Brian Cunningham (see photo), to introduce them to Pace SBDC’s services and discuss how to best connect with small businesses in their respective communities.

As part of the visit Andrew joined NYSBDC colleagues to attend a very successful Brooklyn Night hosted by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, where they connected with a range of key stakeholders including SUNY Chancellor John B. King Jr.; and a NYSBDC directors meeting to share best practices.
