Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

Business Advisor

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide one-to-one counseling to small business clients and entrepreneurs in one or more of the following areas:

  • Marketing guidance, including launching/improving a client website, search engine optimization, eCommerce, and targeted social media and email marketing strategies.

  • Coronavirus loan & grant program review & assistance

  • Assistance in the analysis and preparation of financial statements, cash flow projections, income statements, sources and uses statements, etc.     

  • Business plan development

 

· Collaborate with Pace SBDC director to coordinate the center’s marketing initiatives, including the center’s website and social media sites, to build awareness of the Pace SBDC and its services

· Implement and/or participate in Pace SBDC-sponsored small business workshops

· Help small business clients to access key demographic, economic, and other key market research through the NYS SBDC Research      Network

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience counseling small businesses, or owning/managing a small business

· Experience managing social media accounts, developing websites (eg. Wix, Squarespace, Shopify), and/or graphic design

· Experience running digital ads on Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn

· Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management, Finance, Accounting, or other appropriate disciplines

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Bilingual preferred

· Strong customer service and organizational skills

· Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
