Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - Independent Contractor Opportunity


To support our small business clients in their recovery from the impact of COVID-19, the Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is seeking to engage one or more independent contractors to supplement the range of 1:1 business advisory services we presently offer to entrepreneurs. Services will include one or more of the following: 


  • COVID-19 recovery support, including assistance with financial and other related programs

  • Marketing guidance, including website design, social media, e-commerce and lead generation techniques

  • Business planning, including help preparing financial statements and cash flow projections, and/or understanding business accounting procedures

  • Space redesign, compliance, human resources, and other operations issues 



  • Experience in one or more of the following: counseling small businesses, owning/managing a small business, managing social media accounts, developing websites (eg. Wix, Squarespace, Shopify), and running digital ad campaigns. 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Management, Finance, Accounting, or other appropriate disciplines  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office     

  • Bilingual preferred  

  • Strong customer service and organizational skills. Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
