PACE SBDC at the 2023 International Franchise Expo

The Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) teamed up with SBDCs from Baruch & LaGuardia Community College on tabling/networking with existing and prospective franchisees at the 2023 International Franchise Expo. Held at the Javits Center, the expo showcased a myriad of franchisors' exhibits, offering an immersive experience for attendees. This event also provided aspiring entrepreneurs with invaluable in-person group instruction, covering a diverse array of franchising topics.

Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm joined Vince Vacari, Regional Director of NJSBDC at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and Boynton Weeks from FranNet for a panel discussion to lay out key considerations for franchise ownership, including source of financing, marketing and operational issues. Attendees also learned how to leverage SBDCs as a resource partner in evaluating a franchise opportunity.
