At Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) we remain committed to showing up for New York City’s vibrant small business community. In recent weeks, our team has participated in several events across Brooklyn and Downtown Manhattan, connecting directly with entrepreneurs, local partners, and resource organizations dedicated to supporting small business success.

Flatbush Commons Small Business Expo
At the Flatbush Commons Small Business Expo, Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm served on the Access to Small Business Financing panel, sharing insights on loan readiness, SBA programs, and funding pathways for early-stage and established businesses. Meanwhile, the Pace SBDC team connected with dozens of local entrepreneurs to discuss startup planning, market research, and access-to-capital strategies.
Moore Street Market Event with Graham Avenue BID & NYCEDC
The Pace SBDC team joined the Graham Avenue Business Improvement District and the NYC Economic Development Corporation at the historic Moore Street Market in East Williamsburg. The event brought together local vendors and community organizations to highlight small business resources and neighborhood economic activity. Our team engaged with entrepreneurs seeking guidance on business planning, financing, and growth opportunities, reinforcing the SBDC’s ongoing presence in the community. The Pace SBDC team also enjoyed connecting with Evelyn Cruz, District Director for Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez.
Money Matters Event with Bed-Stuy Restoration Corp
The Pace SBDC participated in Money Matters, hosted by the Bed Stuy Restoration Corporation, where Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm again served as a panelist on Access to Small Business Financing. This event gathered community lenders, financial institutions, and resource partners to help small business owners better understand their financial options. Our team engaged one-on-one with attendees seeking tailored guidance on improving financial literacy and preparing for funding.
Veteran Small Business Event with NYC SBS
To support New York City’s growing community of veteran entrepreneurs, the Pace SBDC tabled at the Veteran Small Business event organized by the NYC Department of Small Business Services. We met with veterans exploring new business ventures as well as those looking to expand their existing enterprises, highlighting the tools and advisory services available to help them move forward.
