Pace SBDC client Andrew Hirsch is an entrepreneurial attorney and startup maven with expertise in patent and intellectual property law, having worked for the U.S. government for 10 years. He has helped several startups since 2001, often working in the role of acting CEO or chief counsel and advisor. Pace SBDC business advisor Susan Gluck has helped Andrew bring Ilibrium, one such startup, into the Pace SBDC fold for market research to update its business plan and strengthen its pitch deck. Ilibrium, the brainchild of founder, Graylan King, is developing a platform that offers producers and artists a virtual production space to collaboratively produce music and film with real-time edits.

After the initial market research was delivered from the NYSBDC Research Network, Susan went on to help Andrew and Graylan find coding interns. She reached out to Mahindra Guman from Pace University’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, who helped make internship matches. Weeks later, two Seidenberg students were officially brought on as interns at Ilibrium, and in 2023 one converted to a full-time role.

Andrew is continuing to pursue his entrepreneurial plans. With Susan’s marketing guidance, he is crafting new blog content to convey his expertise with intellectual property law, and patent and trademark rules, for new technology ventures. From there, his goal is to publish his book as he continues to pursue helping more companies as a consultant and executive.
