Pace SBDC is partnering with Congresswoman Yvette Clarke & the U.S. Small Business Administration’s to host a two-part series virtual information session. This session will provide an overview of SBA financing programs.
An SBA representative will review two key small business financing programs the agency offers, the 7(a) & 504 loan programs, that provide invaluable long-term affordable financing and encourage banks and other institutions to lend to existing small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs for permanent working capital and to purchase equipment and/or real estate.
NELP Small Business Employment Law Presentation

Pace SBDC, in partnership with the Brooklyn Public Library’s Business and Career Center and the Neighborhood Entreprenur Law Project (NELP), will be holding a small business virtual legal presentation on employment law.
This presentation will engage microentrepreneurs in a discussion about worker classification and employer obligations. The webinar will clarify the differences between Independent Contractors and Employees and provide small business owners with steps to avoid misclassification.

2025 Queens Tech + Innovation Challenge Info Session

Presented by the Queens Borough President Donovan Richards and Queens Economic Development Corporation, the 2024 Queens Tech + Innovation Challenge is designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs grow their businesses with five $20K grants, access to industry experts and founder network. Its flexible schedule allows participants to join at any time between October 2024 to February 2025.
The multi-month program offers high-level entrepreneurial classes, one-on-one office hours with QEDC advisors, networking events with startup founders, and FIVE $20,000 grants.

About the Presenters: The Export Bootcamp instructors are international trade practitioners that are primarily members of the New York District Export Council, a volunteer group of private-sector individuals appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to provide mentoring on exporting U.S. goods and services. They will present the course materials drawing from their extensive experience in international trade.
