HUMN

During the fall semester, Pace SBDC business advisor Susan Gluck paired a client—an AI-first marketing agency, HUMN—with Professor Deborah Fain’s Lubin School of Business Integrated Direct Marketing class to bring a hands-on learning experience to students.
HUMN became the focus of the course’s term project, giving students the opportunity to tackle a real-world branding challenge: defining initial brand identity (human storytelling) and expressing differentiation. The kickoff meeting in class allowed the client to share their challenge and introduce goals. Students asked thoughtful questions and went on to work in groups to develop strategic ideas. A subsequent meeting gave students the chance to dive deeper, posing excellent questions that demonstrated their growing understanding of branding and marketing strategy.

Everyone met again in December where students presented final reports which were praised by both the professor and client for their creativity and professionalism. This partnership not only enriched classroom learning but also provided valuable insights for the client—a true win-win.
