The Brooklyn Public Library’s Annual PowerUP! Business Plan Competition provides Brooklyn-based startup entrepreneurs with the opportunity to win seed money. Grant awards include $20,000 for the first place winner, $10,000 for the second place and $5,000 for third place.

To be eligible, businesses must operate in Brooklyn, have a Brooklyn Public Library Card, meet with a business advisor (the Pace SBDC can serve in this role), and attend a minimum of 3 PowerUP! webinar classes. Further, all businesses must have been in operation for less than one year and have earned less than $10,000. The deadline to apply is April 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM ET.
