Pizza Magari

Suphi Bingol and his business partner, Fatih Sahin, invested $150k into building out their very first pizza shop together. Pizza Magari is located in Chinatown at 127 East Broadway.  They serve a variety of pizzas, sandwiches, and snacks while offering a crisp ambiance that is unique from the rest of the pizzerias in the area.

Pace SBDC business advisor Anish Thakkar collaborated with Darrin Conroy and Amelia Birdsall Looby from the New York Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Research Network to provide Suphi with targeted demographic and consumer spending market research. This helped spur both the opening of the business, as well as decisions on the shop’s targeted menu options and pricing so as to hone in on a gap in the local marketplace.

Since opening, the business has created three new jobs and sales have been increasing month over month. Anish continues to work with the client on developing and implementing marketing strategies that will maximize awareness and exposure to the local community, including a solid digital presence that reach customers beyond the immediate neighborhood.
