BRDGSTCH

For Junelle Lawton, founder of BRDGSTCH, a long-held idea is becoming a growing creative business. BRDGSTCH, pronounced
“bridge-stitch,” offers hands-on workshops rooted in sewing, textile work, leathercraft, and material-based learning. Its mission is to reconnect people with craftsmanship, creativity, and the confidence that comes from learning a skill with intention.

In August 2025, Junelle reached out to PACE SBDC with an idea she had been sitting with for some time. Business Advisor, Eeshani Juthani guided her through developing a business plan, conducting competitor and market research, and refining her pricing strategy
and startup cost structure. Eeshani also supported Junelle as she developed her website and established the foundation for her business.

In May 2026, Junelle hosted her first leather journal-making class. Eeshani attended the well-structured workshop, seeing firsthand how Junelle transformed her creative vision into an engaging, hands-on experience.

Following the workshop, Eeshani continued to guide Junelle through marketing and advertising strategies to help build awareness and attract participants. Junelle has since lined up additional workshops and opportunities to table at fairs, expanding her reach and creating more opportunities for people to experience BRDGSTCH.

BRDGSTCH was an idea I had been carrying for some time, but working with Eeshani helped me begin turning that idea into something tangible. Her guidance gave me a clearer understanding of how to think about the business beyond the creative work, from pricing and market research to how I position and promote the workshops. Hosting my first workshop felt like an important turning point because I could finally see the idea working in practice. I’m still building and learning, but I now have a much stronger foundation for where BRDGSTCH can go. — Junelle Lawton, Founder of BRDGSTCH

Junelle’s journey demonstrates how thoughtful business planning, market research, and marketing support can help turn a creative idea into an emerging creative business.
