#SmallBusinessSaturday

Small Business Saturday, the last Saturday of November, was created with the small business owner in mind. It has become a new retail tradition and a way to direct pre-holiday shoppers to small businesses - mom and pop stores, brick-and-mortar merchants - instead of big box chains.

Now in its 11th year, American Express promotes Small Business Saturdays with reminders to "shop small" and buy from local shops in one's own neighborhood.

As a small business owner, you'll want to ride this wave by tying into this growing promotion and encouraging your customers to Shop Small. American Express is helping the promotion linger longer by talking about it as a "season" and not just a single Saturday.

Avail yourself of our resources and meet with an advisor from the Pace University Small Business Development Center to plan a Small Business Saturday promotional effort and other key marketing and sales strategies. Contact us at sbdc@pace.edu to set up a 1:1 session, or visit www.pacesbdc.org/contact.
