Pace SBDC Celebrates SBDC Day 2026 at New York’s Capitol

Pace SBDC Regional Director Andrew Flamm recently returned to the New York State Capitol for SBDC Day, joining senior staff from the NY Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network and fellow SBDC directors from across the state. This annual event serves as a vital opportunity to shine a spotlight on the NYSBDC’s impact on small business growth, share client success stories, and engage directly with legislators and their staff about the evolving needs of entrepreneurs.

During this year’s visit, Andrew met with key policymakers, including Senator Kevin Parker, Assembly Member Jo Anne Simon, and Assembly Member Brian Cunningham, along with their staff teams, to review SBDC programming in the Pace SBDC’s Brooklyn and Downtown Manhattan service areas and the broader economic contributions of small businesses across New York.

Having fostered relationships with many of these policymakers over the years, Andrew’s discussions focused on strengthening connections and exploring new ways to support small business owners in their respective communities. These collaborative discussions allow SBDCs to refine their programs and continue delivering valuable resources to entrepreneurs at all stages of their journey.

For more information on how Pace SBDC supports small businesses, including inspiring success stories from four of our clients, visit our SBDC Day 2026 page. These stories highlight the real impact of SBDC services and serve as examples for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses.
