Privately-Funded Growth & Launch Grants

The Grow-NY competition attracts innovative, high-growth food and agriculture startups from across the globe and engages them in the region’s rapidly growing startup ecosystem.

To be eligible, applicants must be an established business entity in the food, beverage, and/or agriculture space.

1010 WINS and Dime Community Bank – New York’s Premier Bank for Business – want to award you $10K to rebuild, relaunch or expand your business.

NGLCC and the Grubhub Community Fund have come together once again to provide vital assistance for LGBTQ+-owned and allied restaurants, cafes, bars serving food, and other eating establishments. The NGLCC Community Impact Grant Program, supported by the Grubhub Community Fund, provides a financial lifeline to these businesses with grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.

The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) Capital Program Grant aims to enhance the quality of childcare services across the state. This grant provides financial assistance to childcare providers for the construction, renovation, or expansion of their facilities. By investing in infrastructure improvements, the program seeks to create safer, more accessible, and developmentally enriching environments for children. Eligible applicants include licensed childcare centers, group family childcare homes, and family childcare providers. Through this initiative, OCFS is committed to supporting the growth and sustainability of childcare services, ensuring all children have access to high-quality early childhood education.

Verizon's Digital Ready Grant offers $10,000 in funding for new York small businesses to navigate and thrive in the digital age. With a focus on digital literacy and inclusivity, the grant provides vital support, including technology and training, to empower businesses, especially those led by women.

In this Pitch Program, woman-owned businesses with at least 51% Black/Brown women founders have the opportunity to compete for up to $10k to help accelerate their businesses.

Public Sector Grant Programs
New York State has launched a Pre-Seed and Seed Matching Fund Program which will offer early-stage start-up companies in high-growth industries $50,000 to $250,000 in growth assistance, which they will match with funds from private sector co-investors. 
SBIR/STTR programs support scientific excellence and technological innovation through the investment of Federal research funds in critical American priorities to build a strong national economy.
The Global NY State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) offers reimbursable grants of up to $5,000 to qualifying small and medium-sized business engaging in exporting for expenses related to participation in trade missions, trade shows exhibitions, export training, website translation, and development of international marketing campaigns.
As of 1/25/24 all STEP funding has been allocated. Any applications submitted on or after 1/25/24 will be accepted and put on a waiting list. If funds become available, companies from the waiting list will be notified.
The Global NY Grant Program offers reimbursable grants of up to $25,000 to help companies customize for export markets, participate in trade shows, and undertake product adaptation to meet foreign regulatory requirements. The fund is currently paused
