Kweer Cards

KweerCards is a New York City -based greeting card company that specializes in LGBTQ+ friendly greeting cards. Having recognized a sparsity in relevant greeting cards available to the LGBTQ+ community, Kenneth Moore, Derek Bishop, and Rebeca Bishop launched the business earlier this year. Kweercards has a large variety of uniquely designed greeting cards, and they’ve inked a licensing agreement with renowned artists to expand on their array of in-house creative designs.

In preparation for the submission for the NY StartUP! 2018 Business Plan Competition hosted by the New York Public Library (NYPL), Kenneth reached out to the Pace University Small Business Development Center (SBDC). He met with Pace SBDC Business Advisor Anish Thakkar, who provided recommendations to improve their business plan and to update the financial projections. With an outstanding pitch and the help of this guidance, KweerCards won the Competition's $15,000 first prize and created three new jobs.
