NYPL Business Library

NYPL's Business Library (SIBL) is a premier public business library with electronic resources, comprehensive print materials, and services for start-ups and established businesses. SIBL has an extensive collection of resources related to business, finance & investments, industry & technology, and is staffed by librarians who  can help find business and financial data as well as information on patents, trademarks, census, and trade.

Examples of what the Science, Industry and Business Library can offer include, but is not limited to:

  • Research assistance from librarians for your business plan

  • Customized B2B lead lists for business research, direct marketing, and promotion

  • Access to onsite premium databases (eg. Bloomberg, Emerging Markets, Mintel, E-Marketer, First Research, Reference USA and D&B Directories, Plunkett's, Simply Map, Statistical Insight, etc.)

  • Financial norms and ratios for your industry

  • Access to research collections as well as books to borrow in print or e-format
